The Audition for the Miss Agriculture Ghana 2021 pageant saw 12 ladies get the nod to participate in the competition. The ladies, who came with diverse backgrounds in agriculture and other areas answered questions from judges to test their eloquence, general knowledge in agriculture and agribusiness and on projects they hope to undertake with the pageant.

Excited that they sailed through the process successfully, the ladies hoped to have the best experience with the six week-long event.
22 year old and student Deborah Asare hopes to use the platform to encourage other women to venture into agriculture and not see it as a male-driven sector. She also hopes to achieve a project in the agriculture biotechnology sector.

Make-up artiste and hairstylist Emmanuella Arhin who graduated from the Agriculture College also says she’s hoping to acquire skills from the trainings from the pageant and ultimately win the crown.
Aspiring to be pathologist , Bridget Kuduagbo, a first year university student believes the pageant has the platform to make her dream a reality.

The judges took turns to advise the ladies to research more into their projects and make it scalable. They also encouraged them to come out confident and serve as ambassadors for the brand to attract others into agriculture and its many areas.

The headline sponsor for this year’s event is Casa de Ropa with support from Blue Skies limited and loveforscience.com. The launch will take place on August 7 at Casa de Ropa factory in Gomoa-Bewadze in the central region of the country while the grand finale is scheduled to take place in the second week of September.
